PROCONNECT PTY LTD, Formerly known as Premium Productions Pty Ltd we manufacture curly cords (also known as Coiled Cords, Spiral Cables, Suzi Coils, Spring Cords, Spiral Cords, Retractable Cables and Curley Cords) right here in our small family owned facility in Brisbane Australia.

Most types can be supplied either terminated or unterminated.- Ask us about termination.
We carry many types of cable in stock, and have access to a massive range of indent cable, so we can make cords on demand. Sometimes even a single cord is O.K.
Due to the highly custom nature of curly cords, Most of our cords are made to order.
Unless specifically indicated, all curly cords are supplied UNTERMINATED.
We also have a limited range of cords pre-made on the shelf.

Providing we have a suitable cable available from stock, we can typically make small orders in 1 to 2 weeks. Sometimes much quicker. For larger (Production) quantities and ongoing requirements, we recommend placing a scheduled order.
For specials, and other cords where we do not have a suitable raw cable off the shelf, we will organize to have cable made to suit the job. Often our minimum quantities are very low. Sometimes 100 cords is enough.
In addition to our own manufactured cords, we also supply some great pre fabricated cords as well.

The special construction of these cords is most desirable as it makes the cords flexible, yet hard wearing.
In particular these cords all have a special Polyurethane Jacket which makes them all Water Resistant, UV Stable, Cut & Abrasion Resistant, and offer Good Chemical resistance against Oils, Grease and Fuels. etc.
We Supply the cords both unterminated and can also arrange for termination, using a variety of connector types.

These curly cords are a high quality cord that are constructed of multi-stranded copper conductors, with an overall spiral lapp screen, and a commercial quality sheathing material which is a special blend of Polyurethane.
This special sheathing material makes these cords UV Stable, Water Resistant, Grease and Oil Resistant, and Cut and Abrasion Resistant.
The special construction ensures the cords are flexible, yet hard wearing.

1800 is our most popular length as it covers the greatest range of drop lengths.
These cords extend some three times the compressed length.
ie. 3:1 Ratio
But of course these extended or Drop Lengths, are not set in stone, and due to the nature of the cords, they are somewhat flexible.
The longer you extend them out...the more stretched out the cord looks. And with these cords they are used for cosmetic effect...ie to make the job look nice. So some people like to work on a 2 to 2.5 time extension as they feel this give a nicer cosmetic effect.
This of course is a matter of personal opinion, and ultimately it is up to the installer and client to determine what is best for the particular situation.
But as a general rule in our opinion we say 3:1 ratio is about right.
This type of cord is generally considered non self retracting. In fact in these applications you actually don’t want the cords to self retract. you want the cord to sit at the designated height.
You can stretch these cords out, and they will generally sit at the stretched length.
In these applications they are usually fitted off using a stainless steel or galvanized steel wire through the centre of the cords which attaches to the light fixture or the pendant outlet.
For our Trade clients, we also supply the pendant outlets to suit.

2 core Red & Black PP Insulated 0.75mm² 18 AWG 0.75mm² in a tough water resistant 6mm Black Polyurethane Jacket.
These cords that are specifically designed for 12/24v DC systems.
EXTRA LOW VOLTAGE ONLY- NOT FOR MAINS CONNECTION
These cords include a minimum of 100mm straight tails each end.
3 to 1 Ratio. EG a 1000mm (1m) cord will extend to 3000mm (3m)
So a 1000mm compressed coil will extend to a total of 3200mm including tails.

For special applications we can coil certain coaxial cables.
We have a special cable here in stock, that has 1x mini coax, plus 5 cores 0.22mm² with an overall screen, and 8mm water resistant Polyurethane jacket.
These cords are used for applications such as Rear View / Remote View Camera systems, for forklifts and vehicles etc.
We can also take certain co-ax cables and place them inside our special heavy duty Polyurethane jacketing material, and produce curly cords.
We can coil:-
